Seating chart
Type the pupils (first names or initials are fine), pick how the classroom is organised, and add your rules — who must not sit together, who should, and who needs a front-row seat. The tool finds a chart that works, and says clearly when the rules collide. Everything happens in your browser: nothing is sent anywhere, and by default it is all forgotten when the tab closes.

About names and privacy
Everything you type stays in your browser — nothing is sent anywhere, and there is no account and no collection. By default it is all forgotten when the tab closes.
Name lists with rules about who should not sit together are still information about pupils. Use first names or initials, leave “Remember on this machine” off on shared computers, and treat the printout like any other pupil list. Your school has its own routines for this — this tool does not replace them.
The printout shows names on seats only. The rules are never printed.

Drag in the chart: "Swap names" swaps two pupils; "Move desks" drags the desk (with its pupil) to a free cell — desks standing next to each other count as sitting together, and your pattern is kept when you ask for a new suggestion.
